27 Jan Phoenix House welcome new Clinical Psychologist Dr David Nightingale
We are delighted to welcome Dr David Nightingale to his new post as Clinical Psychologist at our specialist rehabilitation service for women, Phoenix House, Powys.
David has 25 years experience working with patients with a broad spectrum of mental health problems across a variety of settings. This includes inpatient settings, forensic units and community based provisions. He has achieved a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in addition to his other qualifications in Applied Psychology.
David has extensive trauma work experience, both in terms of detailed assessments and therapy. Although he works primarily with a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) model, he adapts the model specifically to the needs of each patient. The adaptations are based on a carefully developed appreciation of an individual’s idiosyncrasies and some elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
“I am driven by a huge desire to make a positive difference in the lives of my patients. I am very much looking forward to working with patients and staff at Phoenix House. I plan to use my experience and knowledge to develop bespoke treatment plans that are tailored to the unique needs of each woman.”
