Care Centre Director
Val Gill qualified in 1993 with diploma in nursing from North Staffordshire School of Nursing. After working in the NHS she transferred to the independent sector working her way from Registered Nurse to become a successful centre manager. Val worked within care centres providing valuable services for the elderly and young physically disabled within the local area. Val then worked as a regional manager covering a wide area of the country supporting services which provided nursing and care pathways for the elderly and young physically disabled.
Val’s interest and skills developed around neurological care and soon she became the Manager of a neurological care and rehabilitation centre. Val was employed at Adderley Green to set up the service and ensure CQC registration in 2015.Val remains the Registered Manager for Adderley Green.
Renjith Eettickal Reghu (Raj)
Therapy Lead and Senior Physiotherapist
Renjith Eettickal Reghu (Raj) has been qualified as a physiotherapist for over 15 years and has spent much of his career working in services supporting patients with neurological conditions. Raj’s expertise extends to providing respiratory management for those residents who present with complex respiratory conditions including for those who require tracheostomies. As therapy lead for Adderley Green he provides much of the specialist training required to assist staff support our residents to the best of their ability as well as providing a wealth of experience and expertise to the wider inter disciplinary team.
Consultant Neuro Psychiatrist
Dr Baskaran Sridharan (Sridhar) is a consultant Neuropsychiatrist at North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust and Clinical Lecturer at Keele University Medical School. He graduated from Stanley Medical College India in 1993 and joined Northwest Psychiatry Training Scheme in 1994.He has completed his Higher Specialist training in General Adult Psychiatry, Psychiatry of Intellectual Disability and Neuropsychiatry. He is a Member of Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych), British Neuropsychiatry Association and an elected member of Neuropsychiatry Faculty’s Executive Committee at Royal College. He specialises in Psychiatric and Behavioural consequences of Brain Injury, Epilepsy, Young onset Dementia and Developmental Neuropsychiatric disorders including Autism and Asperger’s syndrome. He has a special interest in Parkinson’s Disease, Tics and Tourette’s Syndrome, Functional Neurological Disorders and Sleep Disorders.
