At Rhodes Wood Hospital we specialise in treating children and young people who are diagnosed with an eating disorder and require inpatient care.
More information about Rhodes Wood Hospital
Our treatment programme prepares young people for managing life back in the community and provides transitional support for up to 12 weeks after discharge. Families receive a wide range of support in finding ways to prevent relapse on discharge.
Whilst our service has been operational for over 25 years, the relocation in 2016 to Brookmans Park, near Hatfield, heralds a new era in the service, with improved facilities and allowing greater capacity. Our wards are well designed so that patients share high quality communal areas with children of similar age. Our support includes ensuring education is maintained through our on-site Ofsted registered school.
We offer young people and their families a treatment approach that is focused on re-establishing normal life. Our skilled team of psychiatrists, therapists, nursing and dietetic staff offer support to re-establish eating patterns, develop coping skills to manage symptoms of the disorder, restore physical health and develop a positive outlook for the future.
