More information about Chadwick Lodge & Eaglestone View
Chadwick Lodge is renowned for successfully treating complex personality disordered patients and those with mental illness. In addition, we offer tailored care to those patients who present with a dual diagnosis of mental illness/personality disorder and mild learning disability. (We also specialise in remand patients, patients transferred from prison and those with a history of serious offending).
We offer a broad spectrum of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, involving patients at every stage. The hospital’s consultant-led multidisciplinary team has a wealth of clinical and research experience in forensic psychiatry. All programmes are designed to reduce the risk of re-offending and to maximise the potential and enhance the quality of life of each patient.
Our secure services care for patients with complex and enduring mental illness who need to achieve stability in order to benefit from multidisciplinary interventions, helping them move on to community settings whenever possible.
We also have a rehabilitation pathway for women with a diagnosis of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder, offering an intensive DBT programme. This pathway includes preparatory work for women wanting to engage but need support to commit, a 12 month intensive therapy programme for women committing to the DBT programme, and a 3 month consolidation programme preparing women to move out into the community.
