Asher House is part of our Learning Disability and Autism division and is a registered care service with nursing which embraces and balances the management of risk with comfort, homeliness, dignity, respect and choice. The service is for men with learning disabilities, autism and sensory and communication impairments. We are specialists in working with complex needs and behaviours which challenge services.

The unique building design at Asher House provides six bespoke single person apartments and communal spaces including, lounges, dining room and laundry. Each apartment has its own lounge / diner and bedroom with ensuite wet room. There is also an enclosed shared garden for service users to enjoy.
The service is designed for those individuals who require a high level of support to live within a community setting, stepping down from hospital or children’s services, or stepping up, from a community placement to avoid an inappropriate hospital admission. The service aims to support people to return to their family or home area.
The service is located in Walton-on-the-Naze on the north east Essex coast. This seaside town has a good range of local amenities including, shops and leisure and primary care facilities. Walton-on-the-Naze is half an hour from Colchester by car or public transport and has good transport links throughout the county.
