Ann House is a purpose-built care home which embraces and balances the management of risk with comfort, homeliness, dignity, respect and choice. It is a specialist service for men and women with a learning disability, autistic spectrum disorder and / or complex conditions such as mental health issues, personality disorder and behaviours considered as challenging. We are also able to support individuals with a forensic history. Ann House is suitable for those individuals who are stepping down from hospital or whose placement within the community has broken down.
The service provides registered nursing care in two units. Both of these units have en-suite bedrooms and communal lounges, dining rooms, rehab kitchens and laundries. Ann House benefits from the multi-disciplinary support of Nurses, Psychologist, Occupational Therapists and Therapy
Ann House is located in the town of Kendal, situated to the South of the Lake District and around six miles from junction 36 of the M6 motorway. Ann House is located within five minutes walking distance to the town centre, where there is a good range of local amenities and facilities. It is also within easy walking distance to the main bus station and Kendal train station, therefore providing good rail links.
