We are delighted to introduce Jackie Kelly, Clinical Services Manager at Brighton & Hove Clinic.
Brighton & Hove Clinic provides a CAMHS Tier 4 Eating Disorder service for young people aged 12 up to 18 years with a primary diagnosis of eating disorder; or an eating difficulty with a co- morbid presentation for example mental health/ psychological issues, such as depression, OCD or anxiety/ self-harm. They work actively with young people and their families, to empower them to manage their illness in the community.
‘After spending several years in the RAF I completed my RMN training at Brighton University, graduating in 2012. I have spent the last 6 years working within CAMHS inpatient units, this included Managing a Tier 4 and High Dependency Unit. In April 2018 I opened as Ward Manager a CAMHS PICU, this included overseeing the recruitment and training program for all the new staff and implementing local procedures for the unit to aid the completion of Due Diligence by NHSE.
In addition to this role I was the Safeguarding lead for the Hospital and covered the role of CSM in their absence.
I am very excited to take on the role of CSM at The Brighton and Hove Clinic, it is an already well established unit and I am looking forward to the challenges that it will bring.’
