Elysium Therapy Brighton are now offering Third Wave Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) for Emotional Regulation.
Third Wave CBT is an evidenced based treatment for people experiencing emotional or relationship difficulties. It is shown to be effective and to make a real difference with those who struggle to regulate emotions and cope in relationships.
The therapy focuses on delivering elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
The sessions are run by our lead therapist Matthew Bordonada and our psychotherapist Jason Ward.
Matt is a BACP accredited and NCS senior accredited psychotherapist and counsellor and has been awarded an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy at University of East London. He is DBT accredited through SDS. Matt originally worked as a teacher before retraining as a psychotherapist and has worked in a variety of settings as a therapist including for charities, such as the NSPCC, and in the university sector for nearly 15 years prior to working for Elysium.
Jason is a UKCP accredited psychotherapist and therapeutic counsellor and has been awarded an MA in Psychotherapy by Middlesex University and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. He has trained in DBT and studied CBT at Surrey University. Jason has worked for 20 years in the private therapy sector.
