Elysium Healthcare’s Learning and Development Department Nominated for a Totara Award

Elysium Healthcare’s Learning and Development Department has been nominated by Chambury Learning Solutions for a Totara Award, in recognition of the work undertaken on our e-learning platform, ‘My Elysium Learning’. The Totara Awards celebrate top partners and customers of theirs each year, highlighting their collaborative skills and contribution of the open source learning technology industry.

Suzanne Rosenberg, Head of Learning and Development, joined Elysium in 2018 and helped redesign Totara Learn with Chambury Learning Solutions. We worked with both Chambury and Practical Change Partners to support in building and delivering a new learning strategy. Totara was the focus of our plans to ensure there was a future proof learning framework that would enable a one stop shop for all things learning, development and careers.

The aim was to create an e-learning platform that reflected our organisation and our commitment to career progression from within. The result is an engaging Totara Learning platform that our employees can access at any time, from anywhere.

The partnership between us, Chambury Learning Solutions and Practical Change Partners worked to deliver three things:

  • Clean data feeds resulting in more effective statutory and mandatory reporting
  • A new course catalogue enabling employees to search by title, specialism and course type
  • A new fully responsive, intuitive and rebranded theme for learning that worked on all devices

We set out to increase engagement with learning, development and careers, increasing eLearning course options from 10 to over 100. After just one year, the number of users of My Elysium Learning has increased by 99%, with a 68% increase in the number of staff undertaking formal qualifications. Throughout 2020 we have used My Elysium Learning to implement virtual classrooms to deliver induction and critical COVID-19 related training to sites nationally as well as convert and deliver e-learning and virtual sessions to keep patients and staff safe.

Suzanne said,

“Every time I show the new Totara based My Elysium Learning to teams across Elysium I am overwhelmed by their positive response. We work really hard to hire great people and we genuinely want them to support them to build their career. The new Totara platform has helped us reach people and highlight what fabulous opportunities are available here, and I’m thrilled when I hear about their progression.”

The winners for the Totara Awards will be announced in 2021.
