Brighton & Hove Clinic School
Brighton & Hove Clinic School is an integral part of the care and treatment programme facilitated within the hospital for young people with eating disorders.
All young people admitted to the hospital attend this on site provision. Where possible, young people attending our Eating Disorder Service will continue to study subjects chosen at their home school or College.
Head Teacher’s Vision
At Brighton and Hove Clinic School, we contribute to the holistic model created by both the hospital and school to ensure both a young person’s health and educational needs are being met. The school’s ethos is centred on personalisation, facilitating a broad and balanced curriculum including GCSE and A Level specialised study.
We firmly believe that everyone has the ability to succeed and help young people to remove some of their current barriers to learning to help them realise their aspirations and reach their full potential.
We work closely with all partners involved in a young person’s care and treatment programme in a safe yet stimulating environment and value this co-ordinated approach to our provision. Our staff are specialists both in their individual curriculum subjects and in tailoring lessons to meet the needs of all young people, regardless of ability or need.
Ensuring young people leave our care fully equipped to re-enter the world of education or work is also one of our key objectives and a comprehensive transition programme is in place to support the reintegration to a young person’s home school or a new education placement.
