25 Sep Elysium opens new CAMHS Eating Disorder service
Elysium Children & Education are pleased to announce the opening of their new CAMHS Eating Disorder service at Brighton & Hove Clinic.
Shelley Russell Hospital Director of Brighton & Hove Clinic commented:
‘This is an exciting opportunity for us at Brighton and Hove to deliver individualised care collaboratively with the young people, their families and local teams, enabling each young person to reach their potential.’
Brighton & Hove Clinic provides a CAMHS Tier 4 Eating Disorder service for young people aged 12 – 18 with a primary diagnosis of eating disorder; or an eating difficulty with a co- morbid presentation for example mental health/ psychological issues, such as depression, OCD or anxiety/ self-harm.
We work actively with young people and their families, to empower them to manage their illness in the community.
Our 10 bedded inpatient unit provides a safe, warm and nurturing environment to support and aid recovery of young people with eating disorders.
Our expert multi-disciplinary team provide person centre care that is tailored to meet the physical and medical/mental health needs of each individual, to support them through their journey with us and to continue their treatment in the community.
