Congratulations to the new staff team for Elysium’s Neurobehavioural service The Avalon Centre, opening soon in Swindon who have completed the first week of their induction programme.
In the first week, the programme covered areas such as Elysium’s Values, Customer Service & Professional Boundaries and Principles of Transdisciplinary Team (TDT) working. The programme, co-ordinated by Ronan Flood, Training Manager (Elysium Neurological & Complex Services) has colleagues from other services helping to deliver the sessions. We are very fortunate to have such depth of knowledge and expertise in the neurological division to call on.
Andy Birkett, Avalon Centre Hospital Director told us,
“I am delighted with the whole team at the end of the first week of induction. Everyone has got involved and regardless of their role each person is so positive about being part of the transdisciplinary model. We have the luxury of starting a brand new service with a new team allowing us to build a positive and supportive culture from day one. We are delivering induction training over a couple of months so the team has plenty of time to get to know each other and learn how to work well together. It’s a perfect start to an exciting service.”
Professor Nick Alderman, Clinical Director for Elysium Neurological Neurobehavioural Services commented,
“What a great new team and a fabulous first week’s training”.
We are now accepting referrals for the service. If you would like more information about The Avalon Centre please contact Sheila Manisier, Business Development Director or Sarah Moss, Partnership Development Manager.
