The Avalon Centre, a recently opened Neurobehavioural Rehabilitation service in Swindon celebrates the new company values that launched this week.
After weeks of consultation, staff, patients and service users throughout the company decided on the four words that best describes who we are and what we do.
It’s really important for a new service to work with shared values, especially during such uncertain times when acts of kindness resonate throughout the whole of the Healthcare sector. The transdisciplinary team at the service have been really lucky to find the space and time to explore what the new company values mean to them, the service and the patients as a whole.
To celebrate the commitment that the relentlessly positive team at The Avalon Centre have shown in opening a new service during the pandemic and to launch the new values, everyone was treated to a traditional garden party. Patients helped the staff to prepare the garden and made sure all the planters were watered and looking lovely in time for the event.
Fabulous goodies arrived from Head Office and cream teas, finger sandwiches and slices of the scrummy Elysium Values Cake were served to staff and patients outside in the sunshine. Elaine the lead receptionist concocted a fabulous KITE summer punch from various fresh fruits and juices and could easily be on her way to a becoming Elysium’s very own mixologist.
The great food, good company and garden games, which had most people laughing with joy, created a wonderful atmosphere, watch this space for more news and events.
